Princess Kaiulani Fashions (PKF), a heritage dressmaker in Honolulu, will soon open its cutting & sewing facilities to creators after relocation. From short-term projects and small batch production to hosting workshops, we provide an inspiring, fully equipped environment to make your vision possible.

  • Industrial sewing machines: straight stitch, overlock, coverstitch

  • Steam & pressing station

  • Dress forms, racks, and essential sewing tools

  • Clean, safe, production-ready environment

  • Optional pattern and sewing consultation by PKF experts

  • Machines: straight stitch (JUKI ), 3-thread serger, 4-thread serger, blindhem stitch

  • Pressing: iron

  • Tools: fabric scissors, rotary cutters, awls, clips & pins

  • Storage: short-term storage (paid)

  • Connectivity: high-speed Wi‑Fi / power strips

  • Capacity: up to 6 users (comfortable: Y users)

Pricing

Thread, needles, and notions are BYO.

Hourly : Cutting table + 1 machine$20/hr (min. 2 hrs)

Day Pass : Full-day access during business hours$85/day

Weekly Pass : 5 business days$380/week

Monthly Pass (Weekdays) : Up to 20 days, locker included$900/month

Workshop Slot : 3–8 ppl / 3 hrs / tables & tools included$220/session + $10 per participant

Optional Add‑ons

  • Additional machine use +$5/hr

  • Extended steam use +$10/session

  • Short-term storage (fabric & unfinished work) $15/week+

  • Technical support (cutting/sewing advice) $30/30min

  • Pattern printing (A0) $15/sheet

How It Works

  1. Check availability via online calendar

  2. Book & pay online

  3. First-time orientation (safety & rules, 5–10 min)

  4. Create – use the facilities

  5. Wrap up – clean, reset, check out

Cancellation Policy (Sample):

  • Free up to 48h prior; 24–48h: 50%; within 24h: 100% charge

  • Force majeure (storms, power outage) → reschedule available

House Rules

  • No food/drinks on work tables

  • Safety first: closed-toe shoes, long hair tied back, tools handled properly

  • Equipment adjustments only by staff

  • IP responsibility: fabric/print rights remain with user

  • Confidentiality: no photos of others’ work

  • Clean-up: start 10 min before end time (threads cleared, tools returned, machines off)

Q. I’ve never used an industrial sewing machine—can I still join?
A. Yes! A short onboarding is included. Optional paid tech support is available.

Q. Are supplies provided?
A. Bring your own. Limited in-house supplies available for purchase.

Q. Can I run workshops?
A. Yes, subject to pre-approval. PKF can also help promote your event (optional).

Q. Can I use the space for commercial production?
A. Yes. Hazardous materials (solvents, open flame) are prohibited. OEM inquiries welcome.
